About this artist

New single 'Madonna' is out AlterK.lnk.to/Madonna

French artist, Lyon based, Elle Valenci, is one of the new emblematic figure of the contemporary electropop scene. Building a melancholic dream world, full of nostalgia and sensuality, she explores every aspect of her personality turning herself in a complete artist where each side of her speaks to each other. Author, compositor and interpreter, she entered the French musical scene with her preciously arranged pop songs in which she breaks the limits between musical genders. Dancing between RNB and electropop, and even sometimes blues, indie rock and soul, she introduces her auditors into a sound univers full of emotions, vulnerability and rhythm.
Her music, sometimes vaporous and tender, sometimes rebel and uncatchable, just as Elle Valenci herself, reflects perfectly who she is and what she wants to give as an artist through her esthetic. Between her studio sessions and her live concerts, she created a real character to present to the public, coming straight from her imagination: a fantasized mesmerizing girl, with great styling, moody makeup and above all a deep unforgettable voice.
Since her first releases, such as Perfect Blue, today certified gold single, and which has already reached almost 20 millions streams in the country and abroad, she developed and affixed her signature. The electronic production, the RNB/Hip hop sounds inspired from the 90s/2000s and her bewitching voice are now her real trademark.
The live experience and her meeting with her public allow her today to reinvent the way she considers her writing and her corporal expression, but also to blur even more the frontiers between genders to only leave space for her own universe.
A lot of other songs joined the Perfect Blue success, such as See you again and Freedom, both songs that can consider now as some of her classics. Unstoppable as she is, she does one collaboration after another, broadcasting some of her songs in famous TV shows such as Emily in Paris and German reality show « Survivor », but also in various tv ads for high fashion brands including Giorgio Armani, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent.
It seems like the time she used to produce herself in the streets and parks of her native city, Lyon, is a forgotten one. And still, it’s this loyalty to who she is and what her musical journey has been who makes Elle Valenci the artist she became today. Her whole work is filled with who she was as a teenage, thrifting CDs with her mom in the local video stores, always eager to discover new sounds, and learning guitar with her dad while writing songs in every piece of paper she could find. It’s this insatiable musical curiosity and the burning desire to produce herself in front of the people she loves, giving free gigs whenever she could, and always giving a complete experience: voice, scene, instruments and styling, that lead her today to open the doors of major music venues.
Today still, that homemade side of her work is one of the most important: so much things are
« family made ». Nevertheless, perhaps the most important encounter she ever had was with Lecomte de Brégeot, instant musical crush in the corner of a street, while Elle Valenci was playing in front some of her friends. From studio sessions with MAO to writing sessions, this is where Elle Valenci’s music took a really professional turn and began to sound a lot more electronic. Their collaboration on Paris, 1985 was a huge success and then she launched Perfect Blue, thanks to Lecomte de Brégeot, the big turning point of her a career.
Since almost ten years now, this artistic and friendly collaboration between these two musical UFOS feed each other’s inspiration. It’s still with Lecomte de Brégeot that Elle Valenci is nowadays working on new concerts, and most of all her new EP, a project that will be the undeniable result of real emotional maturation and her new scenic experience that surely changed for good how Elle Valenci considers her work and relationship to music.
