Spanish hip-hop artist Domingo Edjang Moreno took his alias from a famous Japanese anime bearing the name El Chojin. Born in Madrid in 1977, the rapper started his career off in the late ’90s, releasing Mi Turno and El Nivel Sube, and then four albums in the group 995 (995, II, III: Kompetición, and K2 - Kompetición II). Boasting a speedy, tongue-twister style of rhyming, and packing social commentary into his verses, El Chojin was very active in the 2000s, releasing seven albums, and also venturing into TV and film. ~ Jason Lymangrover
