Italian dance-pop trio Eiffel 65 consists of singer Jeffrey Jey, keyboardist Maurizio Lobina, and DJ Gabry Ponte. The group works closely with the BlissCorporation label, which is run by producer/manager Massimo Gabutti, one of the pioneers in the “Spaghetti House” scene; along with releasing their own hit singles like “Blue (Da Ba Dee),” they produce songs for other groups on the label. Eiffel 65 — whose name was generated at random by a computer program — released their debut album Europop in late 1999. Contact followed in 2001. ~ Heather Phares
