À propos de cet artiste

Eddy Lover is a Panamanian reggae singer who rose to international fame with his guest appearance on La Factoría’s 2006 smash hit “Perdóname.” Born Eduardo Mosquera on March 16, 1985, in Panama City, Panama, Eddy Lover is often compared to Flex (aka Nigga), a fellow Panamanian reggae singer who scored a massive hit in 2008 with “Te Quiero.” Both artists exemplify the emerging Panamanian reggae style (aka reggae panameño), which is a tropical-inflected style of reggaetón generally sung romantically. Included originally on the La Factoría album Nuevas Metas (2006), “Perdóname” was popular throughout 2007, especially in the Caribbean region, and Eddy Lover’s memorable guest appearance in the song led to a major-label solo recording contract with Universal Latino’s urban division, Machete Music. Perdóname (2008) marked Eddy Lover’s full-length solo debut, featuring not only the title track but also the hit singles “Luna” and “No Debiste Volver.” ~ Jason Birchmeier
