An actress and singer, Dylan Conrique is known for her romantic, upbeat pop. Along with her roles as Kayla in the Brat Network’s Chicken Girls and Tamara in ABC’s The Rookie, Conrique released the EP Baby Blue in 2020, and went the singles route with songs such as 2022′s “Birthday Cake” and “I miss you (skin to skin),” which each garnered millions of streams.
Born in 2004 in Gilroy, California, Conrique grew up in the Sacramento area alongside her sister, Taylor and older brother, actor Caden Conrique. Along with taking dancing lessons, she became interested in performing and landed her first acting role at age three on an episode of the TV series The World’s Astonishing News. More work followed, including an appearance on the TV show Henry Danger and the 2016 TV movie Weird Wild Wonderful Days of School. In 2017, she began starring as Kayla in the Brat Network original Chicken Girls. Around the same time, she started posting tracks online, including covers of songs by Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Little Mix, and others.
In February 2017, she released her first original song, “Heartbeat,” followed a year later by “No Better.” Later singles appeared on the EP Baby Blue in September 2020. Dylan’s (and Caden’s) four-season stint with Chicken Girls came to a close in that year, and she won a recurring role on ABC police procedural The Rookie, beginning in 2021. Her continued music releases included that year’s “Bitter” (featuring Noak Hellsing) and “Advice from the Internet” as well as the 2022 piano ballad “Birthday Cake,” followed by “I miss you (skin to skin)” and “ugly,” among others, that continued to raise her profile on the pop scene. ~ Matt Collar
