Mixing electro, house, breaks, trap, dubstep, ragga, and just about anything else that rips the dancefloor’s speakers, Doorly is a genre-free, rave era-inspired DJ and producer. A London expat based out of L.A., the DJ made his name back home, running Ministry of Sound’s successful series of Milkshake nights, then he landed a high-profile gig in Ibiza as resident DJ for the Ibiza Rocks series of parties. In 2009 he made his recorded debut with the electro EP Toys released by Wax On Music, while 2010 saw his Ibiza residency documented by the Ministry of Sound mix CD Ibiza Rocks Presents Reclaim the Dancefloor. MOS released another mix CD, Ibiza Rocks 2011, a year later, the same year that it was announced that Doorly was joining Usher as the singer’s official DJ. In 2012, Diplo’s Mad Decent released the DJ’s rave-inspired single “Rush” with Soraya Vivian on vocals, while Southern Fried released his single “Something to Say.” ~ David Jeffries
