DJ John Vincent

Nominated Best Urban DJ 2018 & Best UpfrontDJ in ‘17 at the Official Danish DJ Awards, John Vincent (aka JVC) is a Copenhagen based formerly B-Boy turned turntablist & producer from the Dose Sampu Collective. Hiphop is his main sound, but has a blend of genres when DJ'ing/ producing. On a regular basis you can catch him mixing at a number of clubs in the CPH nightlife.
JVC was part of the Official Resident DJ line-up on one of the biggest festivals in Denmark, Roskilde Festival’16, and has been dj’ing on stages at Distortion in Copenhagen since ’10. Besides his resident gigs around CPH, he’s also a known face for being the opening act or DJ at the official afterparties for international artists. Incl. names such as Ms Lauryn Hill, Craig David, Giggs, KRS-ONE, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli, IAMDDB, Rejjie Snow, Freddie Gibbs, Stormzy, MoStack, Big Narstie, Sneakbo, PrettyboyDO, Smoke DZA, WiscoYD + more.
On the production side, JVC is working with different artists, both Danish and international - atm very close with Kenyan-Danish artist MS. KATANA, together creating a blend of sounds with Afrobeat, RnB and Swahili-soul.
Besides production and studio work, JVC has been touring with Danish rapstars Gilli & Benny Jamz, playing over 80+ shows around DK, aswell on tour with Kesi. Also been touring as support for the Reggae/Dancehall Collective, Bikstok Røgsystem. ATM, he is DJ’ing for and performing with artists such as ICEKiiD, Klumben&RaskePenge, FVN, JU KAIA & Ms. Katana. Internationally speaking, JVC had the privilege of performing In cities and places like Floripa Brazil, Lagos Nigeria, “Notting Hill Carneval” in London, “RinseFM France” & “LePompon” in Paris, the legendary “Jamboree” in Barcelona. And open-air events on the mountains in Laax(CH) & “Fête De La Musique” in Chamonix, France for several years in a row - and more.
