Biography
For more than 30 years, Christophe Lyard has been a show producer through Futuria Production and manager of the Sekence label, a product of the French Touch (Phunky Data, Lake Soul, Kiko, Ian Pooley, David Grumel...). Accomplished musician, he trained at Collectif & Cie studio where he discovered sound synthesis. He presented his first piece of concrete music to the famous composer Pierre Schaeffer in 1984.
From 1984 to 1988, he collaborates with Lieutenant Caramel to the realization of several compilations (Pacific 231, Minamata, Le Syndicat...), and founds the industrial music group "Für eine Nacht" in 1985. Very influenced by the New Wave, he moves away from the experimentation in 1987 with the group "John Doe" in which he evolves with the synth. He then takes the controls of the Magic, mythical club of Grenoble at the beginning of the years 1990 or he organizes the first Raves Parties with Laurent Garnier.
He created the association Trance-Mission in 1992 (Parties, Club, Fanzine, Compilations...) and thanks to his multiple events, he participated in the blossoming of the rich Rhône Alpine scene, with Miloch, Agoria, Miss Kittin, Oxia, Dj Ralph, or Alex K...
In 1995, he became producer and manager with the successive creation of Futuria Production and then of the label Sekence, a product of the French Touch (Phunky Data, Lake Soul, Kiko, Ian Pooley, David Grumel...). Co-founder of the association Technopol (Technoparade), he is a pioneer in the organization of the great French Techno messes: Hexagona at the Printemps de Bourges, Métropole Techno at Bercy, Festival Amplitudes at Annecy, the Raves Futuria at the Zenith de Paris... He is a programmer for the festival Soliday's, for the Midem for the Théâtro in Marrakech, the Gaodi in Moscow, the Jimmy'z in Monte-Carlo, and many others.
In more than 30 years, he has programmed all the legends of electronic music: Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Sven Vaeth, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin or more clubbing: David Guetta, Calvin Harris or Bob Sinclar. He has also produced concerts of Moby in Paris, Prodigy in Geneva, Tiesto in Moscow. Until 2019, he was the production manager of Marc Cerrone.
The year 2020, marks with the Covid 19, the need to return to the origins, taking back the instruments and turntables. He realizes his first DJ Set on April 22, 2022 in Lyon with Scan X. Resident since June on Club FG, it occurred in Ibiza, Geneva, Lyon, Annecy...
