Carlos David was born in the municipality of Villa Las Marta, Sánchez Ramírez Province, D.R. When he was 3 years old, he started singing songs and when he was 10 he wrote his first poems. In 1980, Carlos David began studies of dramatic art in the capital city, Santo Domingo. He became part of the choir of the National Folkloric Ballet, under the direction of the teacher Fradique Lizardo, and completed a baccalaureate in physical sciences and mathematics 1983. In his adolescence, he became part of of the Bonny Cepeda Orchestra as a singer and composer, popularizing songs like "What I Like About You", "El Perico", and other themes of his authorship. In 1985 he became part of the Dioni Fernández Orchestra leading to success the songs "Cal y Arena" and "Oye Muchacha".

In 1986, he joined the Liberación Orchestra where he popularized songs such as "Dame Tu Querer", "Cobardía", "El Cigarrillo Smoke", "Yo Te Amo", and "Eterna Melodía", among others. In 1987, he formed his orchestra and had the successes: "Only You Matter", "That Woman," Pa to Fuck Him With Something Else"," I Do Not Know What You Gave Me to Drink"," La Lagrimita", among others. In 1990, he serves as co-producer of the music together with Bonny Cepeda from the "Punto G" project in Puerto Rico. In 1993, he established a firm in Puerto Rico with Combo/Rico Records, and recorded the songs "A Mi Nada Me Cae", and "Faces Nuevas". In 1995, he produced the the follwowing songs for the artist "Giselle Ortis": "That's Not Better Than Me", "Nightmare", "Perfume of a Woman", "Punishment of My Loneliness", and "Vicious Circle", among others, for SONY-BMG. In 1995, he produces the following songs for Bonny Cepeda: "Mangue de Amor ", " I Dance Like This", "Atiendela", "Ay Mommy", "Echen Paca the Women Who Want to Dance", "Sere Discreto", "Agua Con Sal", In 1996, he produced the album "Tu Cinturita" for Azucar Music Publishing. and in 1997, the Bachata Project "Carlos David En Otro Son". In 1998 he recorded for the merengue album "Carlos David" Sony Music. In 2000, Carlos David continued to perform playing along with his orchestra, although jingles, musical productions and advertising work for others took him a little away from the stage.

Among the artists who popularized his compositions we can mention: Gisselle Ortiz, Jailene Cintron, Jéssica Cristina, Bonny Cepeda, William Marcano, Banda Pelillo, Sergio Vargas, Jossie Esteban, Punto G among others. 2010 the popular singer-songwriter, Carlos David returns with a new musical production entitled "Carlos David Mundial" After the release of the CD "Carlos David Mundial" produced at the end of April 2010, this outstanding artist has not stopped even for a moment of working in the promotion of the album by different states of the American Union and other places or presenting with the orchestra and its bohemian quartet ... 2010 also marks the return to the Dominican TV with the orchestra, in the "Half Day Show" 2011 at 2017 are marked by trips and artist presentations ...
