He studied at the PXL music academy in Hasselt, Belgium, and he moved to Berlin in 2013, where he began working as a sound technician at Watergate, in addition to founding TVe Recordings. He produced two EPs as TVe, 2016′s Farewell (with remixes by Legowelt and Asok) and 2017′s Noas Statue, then began releasing music under his own name. John Digweed included Biesmans’ track “New House” on his 2017 Bedrock: Frequencies mix. Biesmans released the vinyl EPs Steady Stabbin’ and Angry Baby in 2018. More singles and EPs continued to appear, and his first Watergate release was 2020′s Electric Love EP. Moving closer to a sound influenced by ’80s synth pop and Hi-NRG, he released the full-length Trains, Planes & Automobiles and the EP Heroes After Dark in 2021. Biesmans’ Watergate 28 mix arrived in 2022. He produced or co-produced every track on the mix, which included collaborations with Mathew Jonson, Johannes Albert, Dusky, and others. ~ Paul Simpson
