Paying homage to North England dance music with their tongue-in-cheek bassline anthems, Yorkshire-based collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew found viral success online throughout 2019 and 2020, both for their explosive music and their larger-than-life antics.
Formed by Bradford-born musicians GK, Clive, and Kane, Bad Boy Chiller Crew thrived on the nostalgic sounds of the Northern dance scene, delivering fast-paced narratives of local life over bass-heavy party anthems. Having established a local following with viral videos and comedy sketches, the group made a transition into music during 2020, releasing anthems like “450” and “Guns Up” to national acclaim. Their debut mixtape, Full Wack No Brakes, arrived in 2020. With five appearances from close collaborator S Dog, the group’s first tape offered a 37-minute showcase of their unique electronic style. Their catalog was expanded significantly with 2022′s 19-track Disrespectful, which continued the group’s high-energy approach. ~ David Crone
