Alliyah Slay., known professionally as A.Slay is a singer, songwriter and dancer from Brentwood, Long Island, New York. Her newest single “Afternoon” sparked a lot of attention across the island showing off her versatility as a young R&B/Pop singer. As an independent artist, she’s shown hard work and dedication to her craft and has managed to show locals that she’s here to SLAY. Born in Westbury, New York to a Puerto Rican and African American background she sure has had the best of both worlds. Her father, who himself is very musically inclined introduced the young singer about music and dancing. Slay, moved to Brentwood at the age of 8. Her parents soon separated, leaving the young singer to move around very often as a child to later on move back to Brentwood, NY as she attended the local High School where she soon met friends who were also musically talented, so of course she fit right in. Her shy demeanor at some point held her back from her full potential but she was very much aware of her talents as a singer. Growing up she’d usually never let anyone hear her voice unless you’ve caught her in the act. Former classmates who’ve heard Slay’s voice pushed her into stepping foot into the studio for her to later on record her first single “Friday Night” at the age of 19. Today, Slay at the age of 22 is ready to conquer the world and showcase her talents whether you like it or not. Aside from her pursuing music, she and teammate/recording artist K.Sole have started “SLAYHOUSEMUSICGROUP”, a collective of creatives, mostly females, showcasing many of the talented artists on Long Island which includes merchandise, performance, informative music videos and so much more.
