Cellist and Pianist

Studied cello under Eldar Issakadze and the Russian cellist Daniel Schafran, later with Natalia Gutman.
Debut: Dvorak's Cello Concerto at the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
Won first prize in a number of competitions.
Toured Europe, the USA and South America as a soloist.
Has given premier performances of many contemporary works, several written for him particularly.
Formed the Trio Zero with violinist Corinne Chapelle and pianist Franz Hummel.
