Georgia-based producer, vocalist, and rapper 5AM grew out of the fertile music hotbed of Atlanta with his futuristic take on R&B and hip-hop while teaming up with producer TM88 on the trippy 2019 album 5:88.
Making music from a young age, 5AM originally produced beats before truly discovering his own voice with the release of his 2017 single “New Diddy.” Signing to Interscope, 5AM created his own unique style, taking elements of hip-hop, trap, and R&B, and was often likened to the Weeknd. A handful of tracks appeared before he teamed up in 2019 with producer TM88 for the eight-track album 5:88. In 2020, he dropped a run of singles, including “Nino,” “Automatic,” and the innovative “Pull Up,” before finishing the year with the single “Answer Me.” ~ Rich Wilson
