Born Michael Hurd on 29 July 1988, this hip hop "BoogeyMan" is known artistically as Yerrty G. The St.Louis, MO native is a full bred Midwestern spawn with Southern Roots,Yerrty being a reference to his "ClownLife" way of life. Hurd's original life plan was to be professional basketball player, but multiple knee injuries forced him to hang up his jersey & pursue a new dream.
As a child he stayed in the same neighborhood from birth to adulthood. As much as his mother did everything to raise him in the right direction he was influenced by his street gang & the musical greats Three 6 Mafia & decided he wanted to rap.
Shortly after high school he made the decision to take music serious in 2007 & gained popularity in the Local independent circuit by releasing his first single "Preppy" & performing at various events in St.Louis via Smooth Ent. His fame was short-lived however due to the company going under.
Hurd was soon after picked up by independent label "NSP Music" to release several singles & one mixtape entitled "Psychosis" which attracted the attention of the underground community.
Yerrty G's most recent project & his debut EP "KoolAid And Porn" came out in 2015 with the single "Blacc Magic" making an appearance on the underground online radio station "Loud Ass Radio" & the Coast 2 Coast mixtape "Hottest In Missouri Vol. 3" Hurd attributes his love for rap & rock to his mother & everyday life which inspire him in his own songwriting.
