White Sun is a music group formed in Los Angeles, California in 2015. The line-up consists of Gurujas, Harijiwan, and Adam Berry. White Sun won a Grammy Award for their second album, White Sun II, in 2017. On February 5, 2023 White Sun won a second Grammy for their newest album, Mystic Mirror.

With a catalogue of 8 full-length albums and nearly 200 songs, White Sun’s music has consistently reached #1 on Billboard, as well as #1 on many other charts around the world. In April of 2021, White Sun’s single “Dream Land (Live)” reached #1 on the iTunes Reggae chart and as of early 2023 their latest release, Mystic Mirror, has reached #1 in 10 countries on the iTunes Worldwide chart.

Initially rooted in new-age, White Sun’s sound has evolved over the years to include elements of pop, reggae, world, folk, and electronica. Their music is known for its clear, refined vocals, sophisticated instrumentation, and trailblazing use of the Gong. Popular for their live performances, in 2019 White Sun singer Gurujas performed the national anthem at the 55,000 seat Dodgers stadium. Subsequently, they opened for the legendary Dionne Warwick during part of her 2021 tour. In 2022, White Sun released a live album, Interpretation of Dreams.

White Sun has collaborated with some of the greatest musical talents in the world. That list includes 3-time Grammy winning producer, songwriter and composer Mark Batson, Grammy lifetime achievement award winner Abraham Laboriel Lopez, 3-time Grammy award and 6-time Latin Grammy award winner Jaycen Joshua, Grammy-nominated pop artist Maejor, Grammy-winning kora player Mamadou Diabaté, Grammy-winning instrumentalist Gabe Witcher of the Punch Brothers, Oscar winner A. R. Rahman, and the Waters Family Singers, who have been a part of nearly 260 gold and over 100 platinum albums.

White Sun’s music has also been used in studies at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital, and has been featured in the Psychiatric Times. White Sun is on the course syllabus at University of Southern California, where their music is used to study stress management.
