Born Jorge Carlos Santiago, in Perth Amboy, NJ, September 6th, 2000; VV I L D (wild) is a half Puerto Rican, half Cuban rapper who at only eighteen(as of this article) bleeds old school rap and influence. Influences include the likes of Eminem, J. Cole, Logic, Kendrick Lamar, Hopsin, and many more; VV I L D explains, "I take something from every song I hear and every rapper I hear, my crazy ass mind wouldn't let me not do it."


VV I L D's "crazy ass mind" is a mind that has been through much trauma and illness. Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, and PTSD which hasn't actually been diagnosed according to the young artist. "I have many symptoms of PTSD and it effects me way more than I show so society doesn't look at me; at this point in my life I don't feel i need the diagnosis."


As a child VV I L D went through the hardship of not having his biological father in the picture. He was raised by his mother and his paternal grandparents. Living in projects filled with gun violence, drugs, domestic violence, bullying at home and throughout his schooling; the young artist was surrounded by chaos. At the age of 18 he was homeless twice, and was once again forced to use street smarts to get by; and often resorted to actions he chose not to speak about.


VV I L D made it out of school graduating high school in 2018. He considers himself a rapper at heart and claims he always will be. In 2016 he lost his father to drugs; this rapper claims that he will make it to make his father proud.
