Venice Vocal Jam | A Cappella Group

About this artist

The Venice Vocal Jam (VVJ) is an Italian A Cappella Vocal Group with a contemporary matrix.

We offer a sophisticated repertoire, with an international scope, ranging from jazz to pop to spiritual music, we are inspired by the most prestigious vocal groups of the European and international scene (such as The Swingle, The Real Group, Rajaton, Cluster, Pentatonix) and we work on original songs and arrangements.

VVJ is born in 2010 from the idea of some members of the most famous Luca Pitter & VGE Vocal Project, an historical Venetian Gospel Choir, protagonist of numerous television shows on national television (Mediaset, RAI, etc..). Over the years the Venice Vocal Jam has evolved artistically experimenting with new music genres.

In 2015 VVJ has broaden its horizons to the art work of some of the most important and long-lived a cappella groups in the today vocal music scene. We moved our focus on the exclusive use of the voice, through the study of the complex scores of these great artists and taking part to specialized training courses, individually and in groups (such as the RAMA Vocal Center Summer Camp in Aalborg, Denmark, the IACS Italian A Cappella Summit in Treviso, the VocalMentor in Fossano and the Anùna Masterclass in Pavullo, Italy).

In a short time, VVJ has become one of the most appreciated emerging Italian vocal groups in the current scene. We join the most important national festivals in the sector - including the International Choral Festival of the Euganean Hills (2016), the Festival Vivavoce of Treviso (2017) and the Festival Vocalmente of Fossano (2018) - thanks to which we have the opportunity to work with professionals such as Erik Bosio (Cluster), Morten Vinther Sorensen (The Real Group) and Jussi Chydenius (Rajaton), authors of some of the songs that will be part of the VVJ debut album "Raìse" released in 2020. It's a quality work, containing unpublished songs and original arrangements, which boast prestigious collaborations with national and international artists. The album contains 5 original songs and 5 covers sung in Italian, English and Venetian dialect.
