About this artist

Váradi Roma Café is a Hungarian gypsy jazz group with a series of albums to its credit, some of them quite popular. The group is comprised of Váradi Gyula (vocals), Váradi Róbert (vocals), Berki Artúr (piano), Botos Tibor (guitar), Váradi Gyula, Jr. (aka Pepe; vocals), and Váradi Róbert, Jr. (aka Olasz; piano). The group’s earlier album releases include Járok-kelek a Világban (2003) and Szeress Még! (2004). Released on Sony BMG, Isten Hozott a Családban! (2007) was an especially successful album for the group. It includes the single “Umbala-umba,” for which a promotional video was filmed. The follow-up album, Espresso (2008), was another big hit for the group. ~ Jason Birchmeier
