About this artist

A true child of music, Jai was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Vallejo before coming to Fairfield in 1994 at age 14.
It wouldn’t be until Jai would make his way south (Charlotte, NC) that he would begin the journey to discovering who he was musically.
In Jai’s own words, “I was a singing dude.” He grew up singing and listening to Doo Doo Brown, Kris Kross, and Jodeci among many others.
“When I came back to the West Coast after me and my mother moved to Charlotte, North Carolina ('89 - "92), my cousin played NWA for me – after that, there was no looking back,” he said. “From then on it was E-40 Federal, Mac Dre-Young Black Brotha, Spice 1-America’s Nightmare, Mac Mall - Illegal Business,Tupac, & Dr. Dre.”
The music world would come to know Jai as Kingflow in 2004, but music has been in his blood from day one. His power to flow and tell a story is apparent when listening to Kingflow do what he loves. That love is taken to the next level with Kingflow’s vocals – a unique discovery that took place during a family function when he was just 9 years old, and not a common talent amongst Kingflow’s peers in the Rap music game.
Kingflow’s sound was introduced in 2004 when he exploded onto the scene on the Federation album that year. In what promised to be a big year, continued to grow when Kingflow was given the opportunity to open for one his childhood Rap music heroes – E-40 at the 2004 Summer Jam.
In the years to come, Kingflow and the unique talent that he brings to the Rap game, would continue to be in high demand – appearing on Undaflow Mixed Tape Volume 1, Fuck Yo Dead Homies 1 and 2, and more recently Look at me Now with Rick Rock and the Logan Tape Ft. Professor X. Kingflow’s newest single, Touchdown, is now available on Spotify right now.
Kingflow is a force to be reckoned with in the Rap world, and he’s just getting started.
