Treneta Bowden

Rev. Treneta Bowden is a passionate speaker, singer songwriter with a heart of worship. She began singing in a church choir in Toronto 1996 and began song writing in 1997. Through a transformational season in her life, Treneta began to sing daily to God in which a burden for hurting people rose in her heart .She saw the healing effects of worship and God’s word and wanted others to experience the same healing power of the Holy Spirit. Treneta was invited to serve as worship leader for a healing evangelist and the later began to serve her First Nations people after her first Mission to Thailand. She was invited as a regular music guest on Spirit Alive and worked with a Native Church serving in worship and conducted a First Nations children’s choir.

Today Treneta sings various styles of music such as southern gospel, inspirational, worship and composed songs with a First Nations flavor. Her title track album “Soar Like an Eagle” was nominated for Aboriginal song of the year in 2005 with the GMA Awards and nominated again in 2007 for Aboriginal Album of the year at the Shai Gospel music Awards. Treneta ‘s music is touching many lives through church and public community events. Her music is played on short wave radio to the Middle East and on radio through various community local radio stations such as 93.9 FM, First Nations radio stations and on television broadcast in Canada with Grace TV and CTS.
Treneta's new single "Rise Again" is a song of hope and healing for our Aboriginal Canada. Treneta's prayer is to see her new song "Rise Again" touch thousands of First Nations and bring hope and healing to many hearts encouraging the Aboriginal voice to rise and soar in purpose ,vision , hope and healing.
