About this artist

The Cleveland-based indie pop band the Palindromes was formed in late 1995 by drummer/singer Peter “Pedrito” Scott and guitarist Aaron “Pudman” Milenski. An advertisement for a female singer/guitarist brought the duo into contact with Jennifer “Anna” Kagler, and with the addition of bassist Phil “Otto” Dennison the line-up was complete; originally dubbed Electrolux, the group debuted in September 1996 with a seven-inch single issued on both black and red vinyl. A cease-and-desist order from the Electrolux legal team forced the band to change its name to the Palindromes; upon signing with the Twee Kitten label, they issued their debut LP Muy Muy Pop Yum Yum in mid-1997. Scott exited soon after, and was replaced by drummer Robert “Rob” Johnston. ~ Jason Ankeny
