The Fusion Project is an Oxford-based band of western and Indian-classical musicians. As the name suggests, we are in the business of blending traditional Indian classical melodies and voices with western song writing and groove.
The Fusion Project began at Oxford University when a singer-songwriter and blues troubadour sat down for a casual jam with an Indian Classical flautist.
The duo eventually started to include Hindustani and Karnatic vocalists in their ensemble and before long the quiet bedroom jams were transformed into powerful, moving songs that captivated audiences on large and small stages alike.
The project has moved from strength to strength, gathering listeners from both east and west, with its accessible sound and powerful musicality.
