About this artist
Born Terrence Strader, ThankYouBus was raised by a single mother on the Far-Eastside of Indianapolis, IN. A place where music was not only a getaway for most but a true way “out” for some. Coming from a neighborhood as rough as his, ThankYouBus was blessed to have a penchant for the arts at a young age. A songwriter in his teens-turned college graduate-turned director/videographer couldn’t shake the urge to create. Fast forward to the present, he is a man of as many talents as his tall stature, ready to give the world all he has in his being to create.
With an affinity for deep-cutting lyricism from the likes of Common and Kendrick Lamar to the bold metaphors deliverable only by Lupe Fiasco, ThankYouBus had already mentally placed himself in the lane he wanted to carve out for his own music career.
With inspirations as those above, the drive, and the mental capacity to create no matter the medium, the music world may indeed be ready to experience Terrence Strader aka ThankYouBus
