Tanya Anisimova

Tanya Anisimova (b. 15 February 1966, Grozny, Russia) is an American cellist and composer who has lived and worked in the USA since 1990. She studied at the Central Music School for gifted children and graduated from Moscow Conservatory with honors in 1989, trained by Igor Gavrysh. After relocating to the United States, Tanya continued her education with George Neikrug at Boston University, a disciple of renowned Emanuel Feuermann. Anisimova graduated in 1992 and went to Yale University for her postgraduate studies under Aldo Parisot, earning her Ph.D. in 1995.
