About this artist

Created by musician Henry Kellam and multi-disciplinary artist Shélan O’Keefe, Swellshark makes earnest, shimmery, vulnerable songs out of Atlanta, GA using electric ukulele, found sounds, intricate percussion, and lush, pensive lyrics. Their work has been featured in the award-winning, queer vampire film “Carmilla” (dir. Piper de Palma,) international outlets such as Tides Magazine (Iceland/London,) High Clouds Magazine (Belgium,) Ohestee (Canada,) an artist campaign for Portrait Eyewear (Italy,) and even the official Bob Ross twitter page. Their first album, “In The Beginning,” was independently released during a 5-month, self-booked tour around the U.S. and Canada. They are quite scrappy. Their second album, “All of my Almost,” weaves together a sonic collage of previously lost tracks, intimate demos, and new songs created with sparkling contributions from artists Sug Daniels, Anni Rossi, and HollywoodRoze (½ of the duo Shilla.)
