À propos de cet artiste

Sva The Dominator, real name- Siviwe Beja, was born at the KwaMuliso location which is one of the Mqanduli rural areas in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. His love for music was evident from a young age (8) when he would join his older siblings during their choir practices for church related activities. He always enjoyed being the lead singer amongst his friends whenever they sang “amagwijo;” songs that are popular in the villages, especially amongst boys. He was also a star member of the Ngcwala Junior Secondary School Choral Choir. Sva The Dominator dicovered his love for kwaito music when Brown Dash released his hit single Phantsi Komthunzi Welanga ft Mzekezeke. The inspiration from Brown Dash and other Kwaito veterans led to him recording his own songs on a tape recorder. Together with a friend, they started by mimicking Brown Dash and Mzekezeke, much to the amazement and disbelief of their community.

In January 2006, he relocated to South Gauteng (Vaal) to live with his mother and siblings for schooling purposes after his father passed away in late 2005. He was a grade 11 student at the time, and fortunately he made the right friends who were also into music. They used to rap during lunch breaks and that’s where he gained knowledge on how to write lyrics, and insight on the right channels to follow in terms of recording a demo tape. In 2007, he started writing his own songs with the hope that he’ll eventually grow in his artistry. In late 2008, he met DJ KK who promised to help him out and immediately composed a beat for him. Early 2009, he (DJ KK) took him to a local studio to observe but Sva The Dominator ended up freestyling over a beat with lyrics that were dedicated to his late father. He then recorded the song titled Ma Tyma (my father) and came back with a demo record. People were head over heels with the song at local hangout spots and that’s how Sva The Dominator created the foundation of his fan-base through performances.

In 2010, Sva The Dominator decided to take charge of his music career and that was the birth of his company: Life Aimer Productions. He went on to record yet another demo, and the purpose this time around was to to submit it to Lesedi FM for the demo session. He recorded two songs, Kuze Kulunge & Sondela Ntombazana. He submitted Kuze Kulunge; a slow jam that encouraged and motivated the masses that you must not give up on your dreams. The lyrics were a mix of Xhosa and Sesotho. The song was eliminated on the final round, which motivated him to go back to the studio and upgrade his skill. The year 2011 saw him compiling his first album, Kuze kulunge, named after his demo single; a message that he was adamant to spread. It worked to his advantage as he received airplay & interviews on community radio stations and got to share the stage with household names. He also entered on the online magazine kwaito-playlist Mag on top 5 unsigned SA kwaito artists.

Through his hustle, Sva The Dominator snatched a slot as a presenter on Pamtengo Radio, an online stream radio based in the UK, in 2014. He could be live streamed on the afternoon drive show (2pm to 4pm) every Saturday from 15 February 2014 till 10 May 2014. His music has already played outside SA borders even though he is still growing his brand in the country. He’s currently recording and distributing all his work under his very own record label Life Aimer Productions and his singles can be found on online stores worldwide. 9th November 2016, Sva The Dominator released a full studio album titled Hamba Nam Uzobona on hard copies and digital stores.

26th May 2017 Sva The Dominator released a smash hit titled Made In Vaal in association with Gallo Records Company who handled the digital distribution. On the 21st of November 2017, he released a follow up smash hit titled Indoda Engenamali taking the world to the dance floor once again for the festive season. He then dropped the third single Uyaphapha on the 26th of April of the same year. It was subsequently followed by a string of remixes of the same hit from a few talented DJs/ record producers. There’s also a full project of Hamba Nam Uzobona Act 2 in the pipeline.

The single, Uyaphapha was a runner-up in the Best House & Gqom category for Makoya Entertainment Awards and another nomination for Best Hustler at GAMA (Golden Art and Media Awards) 2019. As far as 2020 goes, he has flooded the scene with three Amapiano singles Ndinovalo, Ama Athalala and Hlamba Izandla (COVID 19). His efforts and talents aren’t going unnoticed as he has earned the Best Upcoming Artist nomination for 2020 on the Mzansi Arts & Media Awards. He’s also indulging in series of collaborations that are currently dropping fortnightly, it is clear that this year he is determined to drop more hits as he’s working twice as hard to claim his spot in the industry. He is also set to host a show on YCR FM when it starts broadcasting live as he is currently the compiler of the music that is getting played on the station.
