About this artist

Norwegian group initiated by Torgrim Sollid in 1976. The band emerged from the work of Sollid of recreating traditional music from Østerdalen in Norway -- a ork that resulted in the album .

On the band name:
The word 'søyr' is a dialect word from the region where some of the music originates.
