Sonny Alven

2016 was the year where Sonny Alven´s musical creations first received major success in and out of the studio with his breakthrough single “Our Youth” feat. Emmi. The song paved the way for the producer that has streamed over 70M times in total with his original songs and 17M with his remixes.

“Our Youth” secured four successive weeks at #2 in the official Norwegian radio charts, and received a coveted Norwegian Grammy-nomination as “Song of The Year 2016”. The same year dance titan Kygo enlisted Sonny Alven to support him on the European leg of his world tour, which saw Sonny perform sold-out shows at London´s Brixton Academy. The success allowed Sonny to remix tracks for high profile artists such as Alesso, Tove Lo and Astrid S to critical acclaim. Further on Sonny´s collaboration with LA-based artist NoMBe “California Girls” reached no. 1 on Hype Machine and has over 18M streams.

Sonny’s European success has not gone unnoticed on the other side of the pond; Sonny was in fact invited to play at the Splash House festival in Palm Springs and a few other key shows in the US, including supporting Galantis in New York, Matt Zo in Washington and Jerry Folk in San Diego, whilst also playing the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans the fall 2016. Across the summer, Sonny Alven has played a series of live dates across his home country. A skilled DJ, Sonny also enjoys playing with live artists to take his shows to the next level, as demonstrated in front of thousands of people at last summers BergenFest and Slottsfjell Festival, and this summer at Findings Festival, Nameless Festival, Pstereo Festival and Stavern Festival.
