Solveig Wikman

Swedish pianist that grew up Borås and got her basic education with the pianist couple Elisif Lundén and Ingemar Bergfelt in Gothenburg. After graduating, she continued her piano studies for Gottfrid Boon in Stockholm and participated in international courses for Bruno Seidlhofer at the Mozarteum in Saltzburg and for Wilhelm Kempff in Positano, Italy. She also studied romance interpretation, read musicology at Stockholm University and graduated in piano pedagogical degree. The concert debut took place in 1965 and since then she has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist in Sweden, in the Nordic neighboring countries and in other countries. Together with her husband, Bertil Wikman, she have made myself known as a duopianist with several gramophone records and radio and TV programs.
