Sik World

Hip-hop musician Sik World writes passionate and intense raps that connect to his large social media fan base through raw, introspective lyrics. Born Jonathon Quiles in Tempe, Arizona, he was influenced as much by Eminem as Dragon Ball Z. In high school, he coped with depression and anxiety with music and posted his output online. In addition to covers of hits by Lukas Graham and Justin Bieber, Quiles also peppered in some of his own original material. In 2014, he released the tracks “So Alone,” “Broken Home,” and “Broken Wings,” following with “Legendary” in 2015. While preparing for his full-length debut, When Stars Align, he recorded his version of Adele’s “Hello” about a difficult breakup, before releasing his single “iHate” in late 2016. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
