Classically trained, Sidney records on a vintage felted piano as a way to share peaceful neoclassical compositions that inspire quietness, romance and thoughtful contemplation. sidney has achieved a signature warm sound with a closeness to the strings that is comforting and calming to the ear.
Sidney spent his childhood in Germany and then his parents (with four children) immigrated to England. In 1988 Sidney moved to Australia where he continues to perform and record piano by the 'greats'. 'I have a love of the Baroque and Romantic periods above all else' says Sidney.
Sidney shares his life with Felty, his pet Goldfish and Keys, his French Bulldog and returns to Europe twice a year to tour and record with Baroque quartet 'Front Door Key'.
Sidney's aim is to connect with people through music that adds peace in an otherwise noisy world.
