About this artist

Bio: SHOCKLORE began as a group of friends playing in various bands both together and seperately during the height of the 1980's Punk Rock, Thrash and Speed Metal scenes in the South Bay, Southern California.

From 1990-2020 SHOCKLORE has been: Jim Fuentes/Guitar, Bass and Vocals, Eric Wood/Guitar & , Mark Luther/Drums/Lead Vocals, Lyricist with other Guitarist friends Craig Davis and Charles (Chuck) Morel contributing.

When they formed their goal was to put together a combination of Hardcore music using all of their best, combined influences. The result was 21 Driving, Face melting, and Provocative tunes that would stand the test of time and be as relevant today as the day were written. Though SHOCKLORE line ups have morphed and varied over the years, but the concept has not.

“SHOCK”: To provoke a sudden upsetting or surprising event or experience. To invoke a feeling of disturbed surprise.

“LORE”: a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth

Beginning in 2021 SHOCKLORE’s line up again included Charles Morel briefly (Guitar on Static Audacity - 01/01/21), but has since settled into a more congruent line up:

Jim Fuentes/Guitar & Bass,

Mark Luther/Drums/Vocals/Lyricist,

James Harned (Formerly of FULL SIZE)/Lead Vocals/Lyricist.

With the intensity and raw power of their latest release “Soiled Mask” on 05/05/21, it is clear SHOCKLORE has lost none of their purpose or bite. SHOCKLORE now has another Full Length 12 song LP which again combines their collective and unique influences along with many years of friendship to create VOL 2, recently released 12/18/2021

Influences: S.O.D., Slayer, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Rudimentary Peni, D.R.I., Cro-Mags, Corrosion Of Conformity, Discharge, Metallica, Circle Jerks, Fugazi, Dayglo Abortions, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Rush, and many more.
