About this artist

This UK rock trio, which combined both progressive rock and metal traditions, was formed in 1981 by multi-instrumentalist John Hall (vocals, guitar, keyboards). Adding Andy Skuse (bass, keyboards) and Chris Logan (drums) they signed to Heavy Metal Records in 1982. Together they debuted with Firedance, a complex and inventive album which brought to mind memories of Rush, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep to its generally sympathetic reviewers. Instrumentally, the album was faultless, but the vocals were less impressive. Phil Williams replaced Logan in 1984. The band recorded a second album, Continuance, which wasn’t released until 2004, over 20 years later.
