Back when she still had the last name Wilson, Shanice appeared on Star Search where she awed a panel of judges and Ed McMahon with vocals that were surprisingly mature for someone who hadn't yet hit puberty. Although she took home first prize and released an album that charted by the time she was fourteen, major success has somehow always alluded her despite her amazing voice. Until she truly gets noticed, the now grown-up Shanice continues to offer soulful ballads and up-tempo R&B songs graced by her astounding vocals.
