Sciotech encapsulates the slower range of the Scionaugh project. A surreal blend of house and techno bursting with ear candy. Created in the tension between synthetic and organic, Sciotech is a digital regurgitation of the sounds of nature. Coining the term “Scitech”, incorporating his background in mathematics and engineering, Sciotech meticulously sculpts his sounds to an otherworldly level of detail and precision. Although this music falls under the umbrella of techno, strong influences of psytrance and bass music can be heard in the interplay between alien squawks and monstrous roars. Signed to Alpaka Muzik, his music has also been released through Techgnosis, Stoneseed, Frequency Squad and Muteless records. Sciotech aka Scionaugh has played across many of Australia’s Festivals including Esoteric, Dragon Dreaming and Elements as well as playing festivals in New Zealand and North America.
