About this artist
Since drummer Robert Williams has played with a wildly diverse range of acts — Captain Beefheart, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, and the Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell — it only makes sense that his small solo output reflects those eclectic tendencies. Williams covers a wide range of music on his two solo recordings — the 1981 EP Buy My Record and 1982′s full-length Late One Night — with the help of such guests as Hugh Cornwell, Danny Elfman, the Doors' Robby Krieger, Wings' Laurence Juber, and members of Devo, the Go-Go's, and Captain Beefheart's and Frank Zappa's bands. ~ Steve Huey
