About this artist

Italian sound engineer and arranger & producer, born in 1944.
From his web page: "I was born into a family of musicians in 1955 in Bologna, where I lived until 1997. My grandfather Mario Cavallari was a great author and publisher of songs during the fifties and the sixties for all the most famous singers of the time, from Nilla Pizzi to Giorgio Consolini, Milva to Luciano Tajoli, etc. My mother and my uncle, both qualified at the conservatory, have taught and played in many public dance-halls all around Italy.
When I was ten, I clumsily started to play piano and guitar in the first inexpert bands among friends, in the cellars under our houses. The bass guitar, my greatest love, turned up by chance when I was in my twenties.
At that time, the bass player of my group had to leave for his national service and, since it was not easy to find someone able to play that instrument, I replaced him just for fun. Unexpectedly, I have never stopped playing the bass guitar since then.
As I was also interested both in technical and technological aspects of music, I learnt to use the first mixers and tape recorders thus later becoming a sound engineer. I have never stopped doing that, either.
Since 1997 I have been living in Forlì, a pleasant and quiet town in Romagna..:"
