Rip Lee Pryor

Born in Chicago in 1958, at the height of his father, Snooky Pryor’s career, Rip Lee Pryor was raised on the blues.

Rip never had a formal lesson; he simply picked up his dad’s harp one day and took off from there. Of the blues, he says “It’s a feeling, you can feel the blues. It’s something within you; you bring it out to let people enjoy it. And you can feel that. I mean, it’s you.”
