Purple Tape

Purple Tape is a music producer based in Italy. Drawing influences from all around the Mediterranean and the Middle East, Purple Tape creates dark and intriguing atmospheres that evolve with the listener and convey a deep sense of the cultural ties between himself, his place of birth and the regions and landscapes that have shaped his life to this point.
His foray into music began at age 12 with the flute. It wasn’t long before he was dabbling with electronic instruments, forging a path down a road that has seen him produce everything from Hip Hop jams to his own style of heavy-hitting Psytrance and Techno. He is also an accomplished composer, sound designer and technician, and has worked in a professional capacity for music festivals, orchestras, adverts and more.
Above all, Purple Tape’s goal is to create music for the mind; tunes capable of teleporting the listener into foreign landscapes and alternate dimensions. He released tracks with Camel Riders , Maccabi House , Cafe De Anatolia, Volubilian Records, Tibetania Records.
