Patrick Prins

Patrick Prins studied piano and sound engineering at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music for two years before exciting the European techno community when his hardbag anthem “La Luna” surfaced in 1992 on the Ethics EP. Though the EP was released on the See Saw label, Prins began releasing singles on his own imprint (Movin’ Melodies) under various pseudonyms, including Artemisia and the Peppermint Lounge. In 1995, he signed with Virgin’s techno subsidiary VC Recordings, which re-released his “La Luna” single. ~ John Bush
