About this artist
I started performing and writing music from a very young age, having a natural flair for the theatrical, and hard hitting rock and roll. I studied music at Leeds College of Music for my undergraduate degree and have just finished a further Masters in songwriting at ICMP in London.
While at Leeds College of Music I played with The Doldrums, (now the infamous Velvit), as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Gigging around the Leeds area was great fun, especially with the boys from Velvit and an awesome place to build my experience as a performer but with my Masters came a need for new things.
At the start of my Masters I launched into my solo projects, writing and recording my first solo EP, Saucy Naughty Rubbish, as well as begin to work within the film industry, writing period specific songs for the feature film Funny Cow, and publishing music to be used in the feature film ‘Burning Men’. Off the back of these I was commissioned to write the score and soundtrack album for the upcoming feature film ‘Cordelia’ as well.
With the end of my Masters I has refocused my efforts into my solo career, I have got a band together and we are gigging round London now.
I would say that I'm a musician without a genre, (though my most recent EP would be something between hard rock and post punk) I write music based on my current inspiration and try not to limit my self with my sound.
