The Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra is a Russian symphony orchestra based in the Novosibirsk Philharmonic. The title "academic" has been worn since 1982.
Created in 1956 and for more than half a century worked under the direction of its founder, conductor / Арнольд Кац. After his death, the Lithuanian conductor has been leading the orchestra since 2007.
Guest conductors and also work with the orchestra.

The history of the orchestra includes a wide range of tours throughout the USSR and major European countries, as well as Japanese tours in 1997 and 2001.
