About this artist
Growing up on a varied musical diet of contemporary R&B, Motown, gospel and reggae, it was inevitable that Nippa would go on to incorporate melody in his sound. Though it was his surroundings that would form the basis of his later musical identity. Outside his home in Tottenham he had the likes of Skepta and Boy Better Know to prove to him that he too could achieve a blossoming career, all by being himself. Early freestyles with friends honed his lyrical ability, however it wasn't until 2019 that Nippa stepped into the studio for the very first time and would later walk out with his debut single ‘Squeezin’ Ya’. Last year saw the release of his self-titled debut EP “Nippa”, garnering support from Lyrical Lemonade, Boi1da, BBC 1Xtra, Complex, Clash and NME, to name a few. The success he’s enjoyed thus far is a simple combination of the right people, places, and a deep love of music, serving as a testament to the power of talent, hard work and dedication to refining his craft.
