R&B’s greatest new addition, Morgen C. The young Inland Empire based artist is an authentic compilation of music’s most significant aspects. The timeline of Morgen’s artistry begins with her childhood years. Her father, highly respected musician Gorden Campbell, helped illuminate the musical light in the future superstars heart. Spending countless hours in recording studios, experiencing live instruments, and learning the in’s and outs of everything muzik has to offer: this is what Morgen’s life has always consisted of. Eventually she grew up with a burning desire to tackle her own musical endeavors. The start of her online social media presence as an artist began with covers and personal renditions of her favorite songs. After proving herself to her followers vocally, she then went on to create a personalized sound that would eventually capture the attention of many.
Prior to the years leading up to her first major release, Morgen faced difficult conflicts and contemplations with the direction she could potentially steer her life. Unsure whether or not she should stay content with working towards a degree or chase her musical desires, she eventually landed on the difficult decision of giving up her full ride scholarship. From this point forward she became deeply devoted to her vision. Guided by her own light, breaking boundaries and proving the majority wrong is second nature to this artist.
The world first got a glimpse of Morgen’s own distinctive sound with her 2019 Soundcloud release, “Your Way.” The single went on to obtain thousands of streams, well before her sequence of debut singles released in early 2021.
In 2022 Morgen’s debut EP, W.W.M.D: What Would Morgen Do?, releases through her independent label. 3verything Muzik. Opening up with celebratory upbeat, “All 2 Me,” and closing with “Season,” a slower reflective piece, is a prime example of her diverse capabilities as an artist.
Aside from filling up any spare time with songwriting and recording, Morgen also invested her time into becoming an Apple certified Mixing and Mastering Engineer. In the same years used to master her own artistic sound, Morgen contributed significantly to other well known musicians as not only an artist, but as an engineer, producer, and songwriter.
