Latin pop singer Mike Bahía grew up playing guitar and piano but wouldn’t devote himself to music full-time until after first finishing his educational commitments. Born Michael Egred Mejia in Cali, Colombia, Bahía enrolled in college to study business management and marketing while nurturing his passion for music on the side with the project Capzula. In 2013 he appeared on the Colombian version of the reality singing competition The Voice. The next year he issued his breakthrough debut single, “Buscandote,” which became popular in South America. He followed with “Estar Contigo” and “Tarde” before appearing on a handful of collaborations in 2015 with artists like Alejandro Gonzalez (“Le Hace Falta un Beso”), Gusi (“Tu Tienes Razon”), and Alkilados (“Magdalena”). In 2017 Bahía released his debut EP, Yo Soy, and signed with Warner Music. His major-label debut single, “Déjame,” arrived later that year. Additional singles arrived throughout 2018 including the streaming hits, “Serenata” and “Esta Noche.” Bahía found more success the following year with “La Lá,” a collaboration with Colombian producer Ovy on the Drums. Later in 2019 he teamed up with Gusi and Greeicy for the single “Locos Dementes.” ~ Neil Z. Yeung
