She was born in Lima, Perú on July 19, 1936. She made her debut in the 1960's at the Pizarro Theater; located in Piazza Italia. Shortly after, it was presented / displayed with Augusto Ferrando and formed part of its list in radio Victoria.
"La Morena De Oro Del Perú" suffered from diabetes and artereosclerosis, diseases that made her stay for long periods in the Hospital Hipólito Unanue. In one of her many visits, Lucha Reyes asked her friend and composer Pedro Pacheco to create a waltz as a farewell and thus was born "Mi Última Canción".
She achieved total success with her magnificent performance of the waltz. These were some of her well known favorites, "Regresa" with musicians like César Silva; "Una Carta Al Cielo", "Propiedad Privada", "El Último Brindis", "Jamás Impedirás", "Tu Voz" among others.
She died on October 31, 1973 in the city of Lima, Peru. She was only 37 years old.
