About this artist

Los Angeles-based emo pop project Loveless debuted in 2020 with a succession of well-received singles including the Kellin Quinn collaboration “Someone Else.” After issuing the full-length Loveless 1 in 2021, the band doubled down on their melodic emo pop-punk mix with a string of Billboard-charting covers, including Elley Duhe’s “Middle of the Night” and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”
After working for several years as a solo artist and producer, Julian Comeau formed Loveless with collaborator Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail in 2019. The Los Angeles duo combined their love of emo, pop-punk, hardcore, and power pop into a sleek but bracing sound on early singles like 2020′s “Better” and “Someone Else,” the latter of which featured Sleeping with Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn. The song later appeared on the pair’s debut album, Loveless 1, in May 2021. Loveless continued to find streaming success with follow-up singles like “Meet Me at Our Spot” and 2022′s “Middle of the Night,” which gave the band their first chart placement at number 17 on Billboard’s Hot Digital Singles. “My Funeral,” a collaboration with British singer RØRY, and a viral cover Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” appeared later that year. ~ Timothy Monger
