Lola Brooke

Rapper Lola Brooke is a Brooklyn original, choosing her own path with forceful lyrics and impressive performances on every track. After independently releasing her earliest singles, she broke through with multi-million-streaming tracks like “Don’t Play with It” and “You,” both of which appeared on her 2023 debut album Dennis Daughter. The Jeremih duet “No One Else” appeared in 2024. Brooke was born and raised in Brooklyn and was interested in music as early as age eight. She began releasing music professionally in her early twenties, taking the influence of acts like Meek Mill and Foxy Brown and applying it to her own style. Brooke signed with independent New York label Team80 and released her first singles in 2017. Some early songs like 2018′s “Bipolar” and 2020′s “Options” gained traction, but her 2021 collaboration with Billy B, “Don’t Play with It,” drew major attention, streaming in the tens of millions. This was Brooke’s first song issued by a major label after signing to Sony subsidiary Arista. She continued releasing new music and performing live, reaching new listeners with her feature on Flo Milli’s 2023 single “Conceited” and with songs of her own like “So Disrespectful” and a remix of “Don’t Play with It” featuring Latto and Yung Miami, both released in 2023. Brooke made her full-length debut that November with Dennis Daughter, a 12-song effort bolstered by the single “You” featuring Bryson Tiller and “Pit Stop” with French Montana. A deluxe version of Dennis Daughter and the Jeremih collaboration “No One Else” were both issued in 2024. ~ TiVo Staff
