L’Instant Donné is an instrumental ensemble based in Paris devoted to the interpretation of contemporary chamber music. Since its foundation in 2002, the ensemble has functioned as a collective, with a fixed line-up of nine musicians, and has built its reputation upon high quality chamber ensemble performances, by preference working without a conductor.
L'Instant Donné has appeared at many leading venues and festivals, including Festival d’Automne à Paris, Agora-Ircam (Paris), Musica (Strasbourg), Wittener Tage and WDR3-Köln (Germany), CDMC-Madrid (Spain), Musikprotokoll (Graz, Austria), Manchester International Festival (UK), Luxemburg Philharmonie, and widely across Europe, and as far afield as Morocco, Argentina, Brazil, Peru or South Africa.
